I'm just speculating with no evidence but imo a dev will only release tons of free content if their game has done good and they plan and adding more content in the future.

Yes the free updates might done, but they have not said one way or the other if a expansion or DLC will be added at a later date.

I personally believe they could still add a expansion or something before moving to a sequel of a new game but we won't really know until they say something.

Also why are you worried about more content when it looks like you only played 1hr and refunded the game (unless you have it on PS5 or something)? Enjoy the content you have first lol

I think it's more likely they'll go straight to making the next game. an expansion may not be viable due to negative sentiment surrounding this game.

i have the game on PS5, i didnt purchase the game on steam because it was literally the first game that didnt run on my PC and that led to a cpu upgrade for me, i played like 550 hours, only a few armor quest left to do

dude i loved the game better than lies of P, especially boss fights were fun, some were even better than major elden ring bosses

I'm happy for you, and I'm enjoying the game myself, but it's obviously not how the game is perceived by the general public.

I personally want to see some form of DLC, either paid or not. but a new story and new landscapes and all that. Either that or 100% LOFT 2, maybe in another time or in context of the umbral ending. That would be really COOL.

Yeah, I've been replaying this game and when you are in the fief area and look out at the horizon there looks to be all kinds of interesting terrain, kingdoms and areas, so it would be cool that eventually that becomes a new zone is a DLC or something rather then just a nice backdrop.

i'm down for a DLC rather than a full fledged LOFT2, because they will probably release a new game at least 3 years later, but hopefully there are lots of soulslike coming, i'm really hyped for the wukong game

I must be the only person who does not care about that Wukong game that people have been waiting on for years. Idk I just don't want to play as a monkey man with a staff lol and the combat looks very flashy but seems to have no impact whatsoever.

I'm sure it will be a good game but nothing about it really impresses me.

I was like you a little skeptical about being a monkey, but then I read that it will have almost 200 different type of enemies and almost 100 bosses. Of course these are just numbers but still, prety impressive number and I guess I am convinced buying it.

If I don't like the main character you could have 100000 enemies and bosses and I would still not really care lol. I will keep an eye on it but the likely hood of me getting the game is very very low, unless they do something that blows my socks off and so far that has not been the case.

from what i remember the devs said that all additional content (for the most part) would be free. this was said when the game first came out
