I feel like the bigger issue is the general lack of balance between weapons, not necessarily in terms of power, but in terms of build application and world distribution. for example, there's not a single inferno longsword, and most of the good inferno gear is all the way in the final area of the game.
I'm watching several let's plays and haven't seen those attacks used at all, while in my own playthrough I didn't use any of the boss weapons because none of them were a good fit for my build.
That's the same point of my pov. Boss weapons should be something special with some - more fancy look that remain in that boss. For example the beast we fall from a broken bridge - a hammer from the inside skull and fangs - eimiting poison on hit.
They are very bad in designing weapons and distributing them among campain.
If you functionally have only 9 weapons (per weapon class) in the game, that's plenty, and make new game and randomized runs really fun. Boss spells and skills are super strong and overpowered, and the game has enough spells and synergies to make your build varied even if main weapons are "lacking."
you are canceling yourself. And that's not the point.
