How soon can I reach Lower Calrath?
Just getting info is all I'm doing.
My main goal is the Vestige of Lydia the Numb Witch
Lets say Pieta is Point A, and Lower Calrath is point B
Ignoring the level, is this a location I can run to on day 1?
I know there are bosses on the way, but are they required or optional. I'd like to come back and do them another time.

Probably not; there's no shortcuts to Lower Calrath that I know of (all of the doors that would let you get there via an alternate route are one-way), and a lot of high-level (EDIT: well, not really "high" level, but higher level than Pieta by far) bosses in the path that aren't skippable.

There are no legit shortcuts, assuming a "straight" path, you would need to kill 2 more story remembrance boss, and 3 or so mid-bosses.

You can manage it in like 6 hours if you are good at the game and have guides. Lover calrath is like the very start of midgame

Take your time, this area has many powerful goodies but is hardest difficulty spike in game IMHO, along with it's boss. The game is beautiful tho so exploring is fun.
