Stomund just despawned...

I don't know what an idiot designed this quest but if you touch door to the next location after Abby he will permamently despawn. You HAVE to backtrack as soon as you get second part of the banner.

yes, because in the course of the story Stomund dies when you enter The Empyrean. Once you've given him both flags you'll find him impaled in front of the entrance to Judge Cleric

Well then he should spawn somewhere before the door... How the fk should I know that it's a door to the next location?

There are several quests in the game that you can scrap. So if you insist on solving as much as possible on your first run, get a guide.

I did the same after I ruined an important quest by using the wrong elevator.
