LOTF, Sekiro or another souls like?
Just finished Elden Ring and am looking for a new souls like. Lies of P story/lore is just not at all appealing to me, but which of the above would you recommend? Or is there a souls like you feel is better? Ty

i would recomend LOTf,(souls-style) Lies Of P (bloodborn style), Wo long dynasty (nioh style) , Nioh 1 & nioh 2, & Sekiro. however you will probably be in for a surprise with sekiro if you are used to Dark souls and Elden ring. Sekiro has a deflect/parry/reflect system that you will have to learn to master to progress. And its very different from other souls games. Hope youll find what you are loking for. All of those ive mentioned are great games! :praisesun:

There's also The Surge, should you be interested in modern setting with sci-fi-ish elements.

sekiro is not a souls-like, it's a tenchu-like
DS trilogy, it’s a pity starting with the worse soulslike (ER) in terms of lore, level design and overall direction.

If you can tolerate the old school punishing clunkness of the old FS game, you’ll find them far more inspired, consistent and memorable than ER.

Good ones would be Dark Souls 1,2,3 / Nioh 1,2, Sekiro, Lies of P and The Surge 1,2.

If you like a bit trashier/janky experience then Hellpoint, Mortal Shell or Code Vein.

As for Lords of the Fallen, well, it is a good game although still needs work BUT I played through it with minimal issues so with a discount of 40% it is not a bad choice.

I haven't played Wo Long since it is such a downgrade from Nioh it's disgusting but it's not "that bad" at least some people say it's not. Still not worth the current sale prices imo.

If you are ever in a fancy to shoot some guns Remnant 1 and 2 are basically soulslikes with guns. Solid replayability if you like collecting things and growing in power.

That's all from the top of my head.

Hellpoint as another serviceable Souls-like. it's a step above Dark Souls 2, and has a good attempt at a Dark souls 1 level of inter-connectivity and secret areas. It's also set on a space station orbiting a black hole, so there are interesting "moon phase" style mechanics based on that.

Remnant 1 and to a lesser extent 2 are probably the best bang for your buck too if you like replay value.

Lies of P is also pretty good gameplay wise, however it's very linear.

Since I'm seeing a lot of the same ones mentioned, including ones I love such as Hellpoint and Mortal Shell, I think I'll recommend you some more obscure ones you can keep your eye on if you really want something more out of the ordinary.

Blade of Darkness: Arguably the prototype to a Souls game. It came out in 2001 and has plenty of jank but it still feels excellent to play with some meaty combat and excellent level design that allows for tons of exploration. Dodging doesn't have i-frames so positioning is key, which makes blocking and parrying more important in hectic fights since you'll be against groups quite a lot in it. Also has a history of modding, with lots of stuff made by the community over the past two decades. It's a childhood favourite of mine and still holds up really well.

Immortal Unchained: Shooter Souls that came out before the first Remnant game, except with hand-crafted levels and encounters instead of Remnant's randomized campaigns. Immortal is definitely rougher around the edges, being by a much smaller team on a really tight budget but it is a very chunky game in content and its combat feels great. It's really challenging though, and has a proper new game plus with new encounters and stuff with each of the 3 NG+ cycles, as well as a second character for extra challenge.

Dolmen: The game is 90% off on a huge sale right now, while it has its faults I personally really enjoyed this game's combat with its mix of melee and gunplay. The enemy designs are really interesting, focusing heavily on alien lifeforms with weird movesets as well as having some excellent and creative boss fights that have their own unique mechanics to contend with. The game's reactor system which makes ammo, heals and buffs pull from a single energy source adds a nice resource management element to the gameplay that I appreciated. Along with its crafting system being the only way to obtain new gear from parts you loot from enemies, it's certainly an interesting and unique oddity in the Souls-like genre.

Thymesia: While arguably not a Souls-like since it's far closer to Sekiro, this game is a total blast with some really excellent combat that makes you focus on parries and really pushes you to make the most of your moveset to succeed. The plague weapon system is also fantastic, while most of them don't deal a lot of direct damage, they more than make up for it with utility. I.E a scythe that staggers enemies and steals HP on hit or a greatsword that sends enemies into the air and leaving them vulnerable to damage before they can get up. You can make some fun playstyles, it's a short game though but it's all killer thanks to the combat, bosses and level design all being great.

Necropolis: A Souls-like with a good splash of Zelda inspiration set within a fully explorable and interconnected procedural generated world each time you start a game. The game will expand its variety of areas the more you play and beating a run will allow you to unlock even more variety of zones, sometimes allowing you to find newly unlocked ones mid-run as the game builds each floor of the game world as you progress. You only have one life per run, but you're able to find some potions, scrolls, etc with crazy effects to help battle enemies or bypass tough areas entirely. It's an explorer's dream.

I'm sure there are more interesting ones out there, but those are the ones coming from the top of my head right now.

I wish i could refund but i wanted to gave it a fair chance and it was a mistake (not because of the boss, the bosses are peanuts i guess). I doubt that this will be in an acceptable state some day. I think it will always remain as a failed UE5 experiment and im not just talking about technical issues. I speak about stuff like hotkeys, movement, camera, combat, menu, ui etc. and technical issues come just on top of that :-/
Yeah after watching 10+ youtube vids and reading reddit I've decided to stay as far away from Lords of the fallen as I can. Thank you for the heads up.

I decided to start Sekiro :)

Warning, if you are not very good at parrying I would go for ds3 instead.
