theres a statue mid way in the depths around a corner, use the putrid mothers embrace emote, some eerie music will start playing. my guess is to light all the lights in the depths which will make more music (theres a certain order in which you have to light them up). after that idk

You will need to activate 3 statues at a time, i can't remember the sequence as i was trial and error with the puzzle but you only need to do for 9 of the lights until it's done so you don't need to activate all of them thankfully. Then after you beat the Harrower boss fight there will be a an umbral belly that you can loot for the armor and a fist weapon.

It's not that bad all 3 lights are usually very close to each other like the first set of 3 are near the beginning vestige spawn, then it's second set of 3 lights in the middle vestige spawn next to the lift shortcut and last set of 3 lights is around the ladder down from the gargoyles. I just can't remember the order for the lights

theres a umbral belly for a mirror piece too before harrower dervla boss fight

you need to go to umbral to figure out which one to light up (make sure you do it before killing harrower dervla)

Actually it doesn't matter if you kill Harrower or not as i did it after killing her. So if you want to light 9 to get the weapon and armor, start from the very beginning and work your way down until you pass the cavern with false floor. There is a statue immediately around the corner, use the putrid mother emote and a sequence of 3 notes will play. Each torch that can be light up plays a certain note. Once you do 3, you will hear another 3. After that you will hear the final 3 and thats when a dramatic sound plays and you can go to the boss room and claim the umbral belly with the armor and weapon.

It seems to be bugged for some people. It's not working on my first playthrough character too but works on my second character.

err, heads up, seems getting summons/invading whilst the puzzle is active seems to brick it? I cant seem to get the statue to play the tune again. Ill let you know if i fix that

So the notes correlate to three different positions for the statues, going from lowest note to highest note - holding the bowl in the lap (lowest note), holding the bowl under the chin holding the head (middle/medium note), and holding the bowl above the head (high note). So you just listen to the "music" to know which lamps to light in what order. They are varied and spread throughout, so for instance for the first sequence, which ends in a high note, I had to pass the second statue which is playing the notes and go down the ladder to find my first high note statue. If you light them correctly, they get a small blue flame. No need to be in umbral for this. Happy hunting.

Doesn't matter what order you do them. There are a bunch of low and medium note statues, but only two high note statues. The first you have to go umbral and jump across the floating platform with the moth on the other side. The second is down the long ladder where you can kick off an enemy.

Cool, I didn't know that! Going to get this armor. I didn't know there is an Umbral Armor. First time I read about it.
