And page file is only used by the least used and system stuff.
Also you can make a partition just for it.
Or lel use hdd for page files.
And eventually you will use a page file anyway with ssd/nvmes.
By default everyone uses page file anyway, but with system managed setting, which is worse, as it constantly changes the size of the page file, and doesn't help against ram problem, especially when you use rebar, or the nvidia's new system shared ram as vram option (which was a mac thing only before).
If you make partition for a page file on an ssd or even on an nvme, it doesn't matter.
If you have enough ram, it won't be used anyway, or barely, and only for necessary system stuff.
Point being you do you, I don't give a ♥♥♥♥, there is no reason not to use it, your reason and your point is irrelevant. If it helped me play a game few games without crashing on boot up, then it's fine for me. Also seems you don't know how to create partitions and put your index and page files there. You seem to just stop using something, the moment there is a small problem with it, if that's just a big issue for you, stop using hardware from the get go, then you won't cause wear and tear on it at all.
If you want to disable page file, be my guest, nobody is stopping you.
nice wall of text.
The game doesn't crash on boot for me it randomly crashes with several different errors and not any of them are for lack of ram.
I think it's worth remembering that this game was a total abortion when it went on sale and that they don't deserve any credit at all for patching the pieces of it back together. That's the absolute bare minimum they could have done. The fact that people are saying "great job" in these situations is why game companies feel empowered to keep pre-selling day one garbage.
