I can't be the only one with this issue. (drivers)
Do I have to downgrade or something stupid to play this game? I get the error message "The installed version of the AMD graphics driver has known issues in D3D12. Please install the latest driver version or switch to a different rendering API."

The minimum required is 23.10.2 i have 23.11.1, Do i downgrade? the game can't even hit 20 fps even during the menus, this HAS to be the cause? I don't know what to do and i have troubleshooted for about 3 hours now.

On first start of the game (or when you re-install a driver) the game pre-caches some shaders, until thats done FPS will be low (it goes on for a bit even after the loading bar)

Had no problems with 23.11.1 myself.

I have a nVidia and the framerates are atrocious, with all fixes and settings out there applied.
Supposedly I hve +60 frames, but the game is choppy like a grandma slicing meat with a butcherknife.
Framestutter won't go away, no matter what AMD FSR / nVidia DLSS you turn on or off and regardless of V-Sync and other stuff, too.

I receive that message every time i start up the game, and always do i press "No". And the game works just fine. Over 140 hours into this game and it hasnt crashed once.
I have another bug, the special effects will go crazy leaving one funny persistent wave of black miasma flickering on my screen. It will go away if I die and went into umbral, rest or return to axiom.

You might try running AMD Cleanup Utility in safe mode to completely remove all traces of the graphics driver and reinstall the latest driver. Also the game can kinda act weird on clean install of a driver both in the menu and when first loading a save. Just load a save then exit to menu and reload your saved game again. It should fix any frame rate problems both in the menu and the game.

How long does this go on? I was having 5fps in in character creation.

Ty for replies that aren't just telling me to commit suicide

I don't crash, i'm just at 5 fps, even in character creation, Someone here says it has to compile stuff for awhile then itll run okay, but idk how long that's supposed to last.
