How to kill Scarlet Shadow?
On the current patch, he seems impossible. I am level 120 with a quality build and a +10 Red Hand. He takes very little damage and kills me in just a few hits. He also despawns and comes back with full health.

Is there a trick on the current patch? I know some earlier versions had cheese ways, but I need to kill him for his eye.

Any tips?

Heavy shields can deflect his attacks.
You can still recover health with briostones or Invigorating Aura if you have 22 RAD.

Seemingly the full health bug is there nearly all the time. Forget it.
The eye drop and achievement can be done later when the devs decide that uber nerfing is enough...

are you fighting it near a vestige? because that's what happens when you get too close to a vestige.
anyway, my tip is to fight the scarlet shadow in a big open area, the arena where you fight the tutorial boss is a good spot, the umbral monsters are low level there so it's easy to get them out of the way if necessary

after 170 hours of playtime , i can confirm that the eye he drops is the most ♥♥♥♥ ever made , enemyes will still attack you , ranged or close combat , and that happened to me A LOT of times , and the worst part is the first time you beat her , he drops 8k vigor and 20 scouring , the the second time you beat her, only drops 2k vigor , really not worth it , 10minutes fighting a really thought enemy that can one-shot your 40 vitality for only 2k vigor

most cancer enemy ever made , don´t worth that long fight for only 2k vigor , really NOT

2k vigor and five umbral scouring is what you get from beat her second time

On my strength/radiance(aka paladin) lvl 200 character and on ng+1 this boss is very easy to kill with a greatshield(i use hushed saint shield): block all of his attacks, then hit him a few times to get your health back, use healing 3-brio stones and use the radiance aura that heals you.
Can relaibly kill him this way each time, regardless of what weapon i use:)
Also i only saw him reset to full health when i moved away from him, so as long as you fight him in the area where he spawned, he will never reset.

fight him in the first light reaper arena. The spawns there will be weaker. I beat him yesterday just using a radiant build with pieta sword.

There are banner throwables which increase your damage and one heals you, should be worth for you to try.
Oh and dont fight near a vestige. Thats why he despawns and comes back with full health.

Find a spot where you can perform plunging attack to her, 3-4 times and it is done.

Scarlet Shadow is relatively simple fight as long as you engage it in low level areas and have a way to heal.

Low level area is important to ensure that spawning Umbral enemies will not pose too much of a threat. Healing is important as your flasks are disabled so you need alternate way of healing.

I was farming him both in NG and NG+1 in place in front of Shrine of Adyr-relatively flat area with no obstacles. It is important to also avoid obstacles or disengaging from the fight for too long as the Reaper can reset and heal to full. It does not heal to full anymore unless latest patch broke it again (it was happening after Hexworks buffed him but it was a bug that was eventually fixed).

The fight itself is mechanically rather simple as the Reaper after patch primarily uses submerging attack. This means all you have to do is dodge the attack and punish with dodge-attack. This will make the fight rather slow but safe. If you are durable (high defenses) and have a way to heal, you can try to get few more hits before it submerges again.
