What are the lanterns with red moths around them?
It's possible i missed a tutorial card or i haven't yet got to a place where these are unlocked for me but I can't interact with them (yet?)

Are they ghosts of fallen players

From what I've experienced, they lead you to a more powerful version of an enemy with a name. They are tankier and do more damage etc.

They are enemies that killed another player and got buffed.

They gives a currency that you can use at the lantern next to Molhu in Skyrest to get certain unique items like an armor set. However, you currently only get 3 of this currency for each lamp while the average rate for these is items is 100~500 currency. So it'll be a Very long farm. There has been much discussion about this.

Reminds me of the empowered demons from Doom Eternal. A cool mechanic but one that you must be careful with because it can screw you over

these are fallen players, that died to that specific enemy. the enemy then becomes a sinner that carries the players name. it has slightly larger healthbar, and gives you 3 plucked eyeballs when killing them ( gives more in asia and australia, since the drops are region based. theres also an in game item that will make more sinners appear in your world if you use it , in case you are interested in harvesting eyeballs :):praisesun:

Thanks. That is useful info!
Do you know why there is a difference between regions at all?

The devs likely thought that their game would be more popular than it is. They likely thought that more people would be playing it in places like the North American region, meaning you would get more summons and therefore more rewards in the same time period versus somewhere like Australia.

However, that's not what happened, and they don't want to admit it and adjust reward amounts to match the reality.
