What level to beat Pieta?
Greetings,as title says I wish to know what is the recommended level to beat the first main boss in game Pieta.
I’m struggling to pass this boss so I was wandering if I should level up a bit before trying again.

I don't know really, because they buffed up all the bosses recently, I don't remember what level I was when I first beat her, probably 20-ish when I first started playing.

Now I don't know, however, a friend in need is a friend indeed, if you would like I can assist you in your noble endeavor and help you defeat Pieta, just add me if you would like that.
Did you try summoning the Wayfarer? He's quite gud.

you can beat her at "any lvl" so it just comes down to how you are at these kind of games

The first boss is one of the better and harder bosses of da game. The biggest difficulty in my opinion, and what i myself experienced, is that you do not have yet much gear/uprgades and levels and there is no way to go elsewhere for progression: You must defeat that boss. So i farmed a few more levels for more health and (in my case) strength and it got easier...

Parry is her main weakness. And she is quite easy to parry too. Use the preacher shield from the village if you dont have any another tool.

i say minimum is 20 through 25

I did it with just the two knives that the exile class starts with. The parry/block mechanic in this game is actually one thing I will give them credit for. The fact that block and parry is on one button now and the only thing that matters is timing a perfect block the same way you'd time a dodge or roll is such a nice quality of life change. Withered health on a "bad" block is a great mechanic too. It incentivizes learning the parry timing, gives you a chance to get some of that health back, AND it takes away the boring ass turtlestrat where you just hide behind a shield all game and pump END like so many other soulslike games.

Just the block and dodge mechanics alone feel so good, it's a shame there's so many other little things that make this game frustrating to play.

So what you want to do is learn her attack windups and the timings. You can beat her at any level, you just want to wait until she's about to make contact and then hit the block button. You'll parry her and eventually get her into a critical stagger. Then you just run up and hit RB or mouse 1 and you'll get a crit animation. I didn't figure out parry and block mechanics until 30 hours in because the tutorial windows were so obnoxious in the first area that I turned them right off. The first time trying to fight her I kept trying to roll everything and it took me like 20 tries. The second time I fought her on my new character (first one was a mess and a half with stat allocation) I just fished out the parries and did it in 2 tries.

Level 20, light rolls trivialize her.
cooperman Nov 28, 2023 @ 2:40pm
If you really want to trivialise her she is weak to fire put 2 fast weapons on apply minor fire salts.
Dash her swipes malty hit her and set her on fire.
This will burn her for about 1/4 of her hp just with the damage over time.

If you play organically, you should be able to beat her at whatever level you reach her.

I played with this game's version of deprived, and beat her second try. It's more a matter of learning her patterns. You can also summon NPCs if you fail first time around.

Good luck!

Really? I just got the game today. And he dies pretty quick. But he does do a decent bit of damage. (Dies at the start of phase 2)

I had a real hard time with Pieta until I found out you could target the enemy and single press space bar to dodge then the game got alot easier. here's a video for tips
