Why does radiance magic
Cause bleed debuff? Inferno causes burn....

Im wondering why casting a radiance spell would inflict bleed.... Is it because the radiance spellcasting magic energy is causing my skin to rupture and therfore causing bleeding? Infeno? I would imagine playing with fire would set you on fire... hehe...

Because it is based on fantasy Christianity, which is known for blood and light.

Light vs Darkness, Blood of the lamb, whipping themselves as penance, crown of thorns, nailed to a cross, etc.

Essentially, the religion that powers it is focused on light and blood, so the magic it invokes is also light and bleed based.

because you cast the magic by holding a catalyst that usualy has thorns or other stuff that will hurt you when you clutch your fist. You are a sinner and you literally punish yourself. You will see throughout the game enemies that will fall on their knees and beg for forgiveness below some statue or even doing self dmg with a flail.
