Unequip your armor until you get to light weight. You start the game with pretty crappy gear, so being lightweight is more beneficial. It makes it easier to roll out of her AoEs.

Use fire she is weak to it....if you cant beat her your not going to like the rest of the game parry her longass sweeping slashes doge downward smashes then hit her once rinse repeat.

That was the place that I almost stopped playing the game. I even put the game down for a few days. Eventually I came back and went 100% dodging (I was playing with parrying/blocking previously) and overcame Pieta. The learning from that fight payed off in spades going forward.

Your welcome. I think heavier armor and medium weight is the way to go once you get to endgame and have better gear available. Light weight is just better for the first few levels.

There is another boss, then a boss in a hole (being vague on purpose to avoid spoilers), and I think both of them are better done with light rolls as well. After that, you should have better armor available, and that is about the time I think you should make the switch.

Just my opinion though.

For me, it was just parrying her attacks. I was dying to her quite a bit solo at first, but her sword attacks are so slow that you can parry pretty often.

Pieta was the boss that took the most tries for me, obviously I was still new to the game when I fought her and learning but dont worry, it honestly only gets easier from here
