So, the radiant ending was.. (spoilers inside)
..actually the bad ending?

Me, the radiant crusader set to eliminate all this corruption by heroically either beaming or bashing it in the face and it turns out that Adyr was kinda right and it was complete bullcrap?

I mean, the ending seems very clear on that it was all just one big lie fed to gullible fools but maybe i missed something?

Now that i got that ending, very curious as to what the opposite holds when you don't clean the beacons.. :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

Adyr corrupted the judge with his rune, they didn't all go crazy on their own will.

You missed nothing. Inferno and umbral Ending are similar confusing. ;o)

There is no "good" ending in this game.

I would say that, there is no good ending, not even for NPCs.

But I think it's a matter of interpretation, Damarose and Sophesia looked happy when they died, maybe you, as an immortal, would be happy in sacrifice yourself so that Orius takes over just as he was destined to

Yes, they did. He didn't corrupt any of them. He tempted them, and they made the choice. Look at the merchant girl. She was actually physically corrupted and turned into a monster, but she is still just a sweet and kind kid.

Infernal ending is the good ending.

Infernal ending: You free the real god who created everything, and you become his top general.

Radiant ending: You get tricked by a fake god into killing the true god, then you get burned alive for your troubles so you can never reveal the truth.

Umbral ending: You basically unleashed a Lovecraftian outer god into the world. The veil between the Umbral and world of man is torn asunder. Everything that was in the umbral is now free in the real world, including the red reaper and infinitely spawning enemies. And to top it off, the boss like beast in the end of that one will literally each everything in existence, spreading like a cancer until nothing remains other than itself.

So yeah... A world ruled by strength with you as its king and the creator god at your back looks pretty good by comparison, huh?

Byron has a good ending overall.

Saw someone mention that the Judge was a prior Adyr follower before switching sides.

Sparky and the smith also get good endings depending on your choice. With smith being good (Even with two tables she got what she was looking for) or gooder (this kills sparky).

I can't see Inferno as a good ending, I see it just like a choice.

True
You can't see it as the good ending because you drank the radiance kool-aid.

Actually no, I see every ending like a choice.

Throughout the game you are invited to see all sides through the Stigmas, Items and the interpretation of what is happening by every NPC, each one believes and defends something, all endings are an option, they all have their consequences and it's up to you to choose which path to follow.

I don't believe it's about what's right and wrong, good or bad, it's just... a choice.

Apples to oranges. The inferno ending is clearly the good ending, but you can still choose one of the bad endings if you prefer.
adyr's rule a good ending? tell that to the owners of all those hands with which adyr's fans so beautifully decorated the burning city ;)
No, there is no good ending in this game. Adyr is a primitive monster who explains himself like any gangster when asked about his achievements, if he wins, his roghars will simply slaughter most of humanity. The great devourer - he will simply devour the entire world. Orius is apparently such a dispassionate overseer of the world, who will only spare his orthodox followers - but at the same time he is the only deity who will enable the survival and reconstruction of civilization of at least part of humanity.
