well you can walk around all time like you want. no map but you can walk from begin to end all time back and fort. teleport too and unlock alway more doors while playing who help you get from a to b faster. but well not like ER , you have here a kinda fix way to walk still

No, it is basically linear with a few branching choices here and there.

Think Dark Souls 1 and you'll be pretty spot on. At least that's my opinion after finishing both.

Its open world in a way that you basically can walk from the start of the game to the endboss. But the areas itself are linear.
