The fact that you are asking for shield buff means you have not played the game long enough. The shields are insanely amazing already.
just saying this game has lag imagine that stuff in pvp ... ye lets not do that
Yeah - not for an increase to block but something else cool - an aura buff to the shield could be made to do lots of cool things - like a small heal on perfect block or a small fire tick or wither damage applied to the enemy - instead of making assumptions about how I play the game - think creatively my dude!
Shield buffs/spells examples:
1. Improved poise break value & better stability
2. Apply status effect (depending on school of magic of the spell) on block / increased amount applied when parrying/perfect blocking
3. Reducing amount of wither damage received & heal small amount of wither upon parry
I think a major appeal of these types of games is being able to build a character out and play them the way you want. So long as things are added with balance in mind why would it be a bad thing to have another cool thing added? There are projectile spells and weapon buffs for days in these games. Why can't we see an interesting shield spell for utility and for those of us that enjoy a melee spell knight? I'm surprised to see people quickly saying things like "not needed". You can beat the game with a stick and no armor but having all the other things is what makes it fun and interesting. I'm not asking for a super nova delete everything spell, just something that would make blocking and parries more interesting.
