2 of 3 isn't bad. But that doesn't make up for all the other shortcomings. Not game of the year material by any stretch of the imagination.
+10
Good game, but rehashed mechanics (and even then, the *poorest* implementations!!). Other than that, they do have some great positives:
- Umbral itself is the most ingenious thing I have ever seen in a game. HUGE KUDOS
- Tailoring NG+, allowing you to repeat whichever NG+ you want, all those changes? NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN A SOULS LIKE. KUDOS Again!
- The nods to their previous game, like voice actors(!), of which Im still a huge fan (which they didnt have to do) WELL-DONE, BRAVO!!
The botched launch is what it is. Publisher fault more likely than not.. (Devs share some blame too). Either way, this still isnt GOTY worthy.. Worthy of Praise, just not that much
I would say Remnants 2. For souls like category. Lies of P may be good. But I don't feel anything special about it other than the victorian steam punk theme. Lies of P is overrated.
Careful with the kool-aid.
