I feel like the netcode needs work
It feels really janky for people who connect to worlds.

could be , could be people with bad internet connection (you/other/both) , could be the distance between you and the one you want to match with/to

I've never had issues like this in other multiplayer games tbh

netcode is absolute trash. rubberbanding insanity. I have 1gbps connection and all souls games play fine. This is just horrible netcode.

Yeah, the number of times I've been hit by attacks I dodged is insane. I invaded someone and a dude looked like he was firing a laser to the side but it was still hitting me. It's mega goofy.

Also maybe don't give bosses massive damage, sliding, tracking grab attacks with massive hit boxes when your netcode sucks. I ended up quitting a co-op sessions because I kept getting one shotted by a grab that missed me.

Like the boss was going through its grab animation, while my character was floating in the air 20 feet to the left of him.

ok, y'all need to educate yourself on different connection types and how they work.

Netcode, as clowns like to put it, is in reference to how FPS games and how servers check positions etc, this is actually server TICK-RATE aka. how many times the server sends information to the host and back to determine what's happening on screen. There was a huge amount of discussion over this with Battlefield in which some servers had much higher tick-rate to try and alleviate dying around corners etc.

LOTF uses Peer to Peer connections. This is connecting DIRECTLY to another person which no server in-between. That's why it's almost always ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ awful when trying to co-op or pvp with strangers. There's no region lock, so you could connect with anyone in the world causing excessive Pings to and from host.

Souls games used P2P for a long time, they used region locking to prevent it become super problematic. However, Elden Ring, afaik, now uses Dedicated Servers to allow for much smoother co-op and invasions.

Stop. Calling. It. Netcode. It doesn't make any ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sense to do so.

While that is quite unfortunate it made me remember Kalameet's grab attack, which is also quite unfortunate.
