Need help with cross play between pc and xbox

So im in a bit of a pickle. my brother and i want to play Lords of the fallen but when i set the pass code for a private session and go to beckon friend so it will show me everyone who has the same password as i do; but it's not working for me or him. I have Crossplay enabled and i have the online side of the game activated. What am i doing wrong here?

I don't think you use the friends list when using passwords when trying to summon in cross play.

Just set the password (both of you), have one of you 'Beckon' and the other person choose 'Accompany'. And make sure you both have cross play enabled.

I've read that sometimes reloading the game helps if there's issues.

PC - Xbox cross-play is barely working atm. You are lucky if you can cross-coop in that case. I have 2 friends on Xbox, im playing on PC and i cant join em. It says Disconnect all the time. Restarting game, going back to Main Menu does not help. Meanwhile i could join random Xbox dudes on discord without a problem. So its 50% 50%.

PC - PS has no such problems btw. Was possible to join everyone i meet. If it struggles, restarting helps it. But Xbox is completely broken. What a shame.
