How do I get those orange lamps in the world in offline mode?
They seems to be popping up ONLY in that tutorial area right outside of first tutorial boss fight with mandatory loosing right after. Haven't seen a single one outside ever yet.

You'll find them close to difficult enemies where lots of people die. You don't have to play online to avenge other players. I've had a lot of lanterns around the vestige in Bramis Castle and also in the cathedral before Judge Cleric (good farming location, too) but those places are rather end game. Laterns are also quite common near the Bellroom vestige. Sometimes you just have to rest a few times until one appears. Oh, and its possible someone picks up a lantern before you do, I've seen some disappear before I could grab them.

By walking outside of the tutorial area. They are everywhere.

Can't see any :( I guess some of daily patches will fix it.

Unfortunately coop and online play are not yet separate from invasions.

did people harp on like this with dark souls 1/2/3, demons souls, bloodborne, or elden ring?

wanting there to be no such thing as invasions, i guess so theres no danger and the power fantasy is never interrupted?

i dont recall that being a request or expectation, at all, on any fromsoft IP / soulsborne.

its like fortnight, or my hero ultra rumble, with no one hitting each other.

sort of core design decision - and manifestation of risk, if you choose to go online.

you gain a helper via coop, you gain little tokens for things, by playing online...

but... someone can invade, so theres a risk.

however, you tend to outnumber them if coop, and its hardly 'massive setback' if your forced to face an invader and fail.

seems a lot of complainers hust pull the plug or alt+F4 if theyre invaded anyway.

why complain about LOTF, but not a fromsoft property?

They are not bugged boss, I play offline and I find them a lot. Just move around and you will find some

They did complain its why Elden Ring's pvp was the worst of the series & it still got a casual no brain co-op mod. People don't understand that these games are balanced around the idea of occasional pvp mini boss encounters for co-op players. Otherwise the game is way to easy most of the time.

''But they did it too!''

That's hardly constructive.

The best solution is to implement a opt-in for invasions. That way people who enjoy coop can enjoy coop in peace and people who enjoy invading can enjoy invading other players who are prepared and specced.

Some other guy said if this was implemented, they wouldn't get any matches, basically admitting that invasions are not popular.

They never will, stop whining in every post, devs don’t care about you alt+f4ing people playing the game as it was intended, invasions included, unless somebody reports this behaviour and they can disable this toggle in game accordingly.

I'm not whining, I'm advocating for a player-friendly solution to this situation. You, on the other hand, are upset that people do not accept your griefing behaviour.

What's wrong with alt+f4? It works wonders to remove griefers.

Thanks for info on topic folks and those who are so hellbent to alegedly do all the totally honourable duels / pvp and stuff - u do realize that if pvp is a separate pool - u will only have all those challenging fights u so alegedly desperately want? Everyone who really don't give a ♥♥♥♥ about those will just go play in their own thing. And devs will get both moneyz. DS 1 had a mod which specifically cuts off everyone who is trying to invade your world. ER has perfect pvp as in close to non existent and sold accordingly.

They don't want honourable duels/pvp, they want to ambush unprepared players. They don't enjoy pvp, they enjoy ruining other player's fun.

Honestly, I found DS3 did it best: Invasions should prioritise hosts cooping over singleplayer hosts, but not be as strict as Elden RIng where you can ONLY invade coop instances. LotF likely won't retain their playerbase like ER has to do this, anyways. Do you want an easy experience with a friend? Get invaded. You shouldn't have such an insane upside as having a friend helping you without some sort of drawback.

Can confirm that they have complained since DS1:PtDE, yes. And the answer has always been "Git Gud" "Turn off the Internet". They've complained more in DS2 because unlike DS1, you can still get invaded while hollow.
