I will be vying for a refund
Today's patch did it. I will fight tooth and nail for a refund. You can't fundamentally change the game and lean on 2 hours of gameplay.

They cannot or will not fix the multiplayer or the performance end game that nobody could be expected to reach within 2 hours.

Hexworks and CI: you will reap the rewards of your campaign to sell this game as a complete product that could live up to your false promises.

If you played more than 2h you won't get refund, not matter what you will type. You agreed to steam TOS.

Sometimes, there are extenuating circumstances. Some games have been forced to grant refunds as late as 30hrs in. Cyberpunk comes to mind. I'm not sure if this game will, but honestly, after todays patch, I can easily see enough backlash to make something happen.

Here on Steam? Any source on that? Because I doubt there were cases like this on Steam. I know PS had to issue refunds for Cyberpunk, reason why it got pulled down also, Sony hates refunds.

What other games on Steam, other than Cyberpunk had this ''special'' refund treatment? if any at all.

I dont know, I just remember hearing about late refunds on steam for cyberpunk. Knowing that there are special cirumstances, I could see it happening again. I doubt it for this game, especially it being so much later in the games life.

No one can blame you for that, pal.

That is complete nonsense, some people including myself have refunded games even after dozens of hours. Its always depends on the situation and the reasons and the steam support. For example, extreme technical issues wich are introduced later and wont be addressed, could be such a reason. You just have to explain it to the supoort, with prove if you can. But when the support looks at this here ...

they surely understand the situation. Its to bad that these days, it looks the same for every second release :_(

EDIT: Ah and yeah, Cyberscam was such a case for example ;-)
Yeah. Sure. And Santa is real he's just very shy.

So far you didn't showed any proof, saying ''I did!'' is not proof. Also Cyberpunk was pulled out of store fronts, that's why if it's true, Steam had to issue refunds after 2h mark. Because it was so bad. LOTF is nowhere near that.

Automated refund requests are auto denied after 2 hours. Those are not processed by humans. It's designed to filter people out. If you continue to submit refund requests for botched games such as this one, a human will have to review it. You have to present a case for why the purchase should be refunded, which I will be doing with great effort and detail.

I may or may not be granted at that point, but I will not give up. The game devs have failed to deliver on multiple fronts. The game crashes. Saves are corrupted. Multiplayer does not function as advertised. They have changed core aspects of the game as purchased at launch. The game performance tapers off noticeably to the point of it affecting playability in the latter third of the game.

They cannot and will not fix these issues.

I may fail. But I will try until I am told no by someone with more authority than an automated system.

Good luck trying to get it. But don't expect you will get it. Is what I'm saying.

Proof?

For what, for one of the most common things that happen every day on steam, excuse me but are you out of your mind? Are you a new user maybe? Im on steam since more then 15 years and have refunded hundreds of games. I was in the Cyberscam forum when the refund wave hitted steam so hard that they must dely them and had hundereds if not thousands of support tickest only about this one topic. Many users even posted their conversations with the support in the forum of Cyberscam. If you dont believe it go and see for yourself ;-)

Alright. Still no proof you refunded game after 3h. I will just take it you're lying and trying to look cool. Your 15 years of service don't impres me pall, and probably nobody else.

If it's so common and so easy, why you can't show proof of it?
Anyways people will make their own mind of our discussion. I won't go further with you on this because you don't have proof or any arguments to back yourself up. Have a nice day.

Wrong.

You get an automatic, no-questions-asked refund if you are under 2 Weeks and 2 Hours. If you are over that, you can still file a ticket to request a manually reviewed refund. I have gotten refunds with more than 2 hours displaying by filing a ticket .

Give it a try, when Bless launched back then and the devs reverted the newly advertised combat system right after launch, people got refunds, including me, after way more than 2 hrs.

Hey op, hope you get your refund.
I bought a steam key for the deluxe edition so there is no hope for me...

Try reading sometime:

https://store.steampowered.com/steam_refunds
You can request a refund for nearly any purchase on Steam—for any reason. Maybe your PC doesn't meet the hardware requirements; maybe you bought a game by mistake; maybe you played the title for an hour and just didn't like it.

It doesn't matter. Valve will, upon request via help.steampowered.com, issue a refund for any reason, if the request is made within the required return period, and, in the case of games, if the title has been played for less than two hours.

There are more details below, but even if you fall outside of the refund rules we’ve described, you can ask for a refund anyway and we’ll take a look. Consumers in some jurisdictions may have additional rights to a refund in circumstances where the game is faulty.

while usuaully true, its not always true. Funny related story, one time I told epic games store that I did not want to agree to new TOS and I just wanted to play dead island 2. Eventually they offered me a full account refund. lol (I didn't take it, just accepted TOS lol)
