Lies of P vs Lord of the Fallen
Which one do you think is more interesting?

I have played both and personally I like LotF a bit more than LoP - because for me LotF was more challenging and the online co-playing was really fun.

Give me your thoughts!

Aside from playful values, LOTF looks really really good. LOP looks like a PS4 game, empty, dreary, even Bloodborne looks much more coherent.

I prefer this to Lies of P but I can understand why others prefer Lies of P. This is more my aesthetic and world feel plus I find the perfect parry less annoying than Lies of P. Though this game has a lot of issues on release that Lies of P did not and even though I preferred this, it is less of a refined and polished product imo.

I got a month of Gamepass to try Lies of P and Starfield - I liked neither and made sure to cancel Gamepass lol

Lies of P is a really well made Soulslike that plays smoothly but takes few little risks and has a bland, uninteresting world.

LOTF is extremely ambitious, has an enormous, highly varied world and is content loaded but suffers from poor optimization and performance issues.

You can make a case for both but I prefer LOTF in almost every way
I like them both. I am more motivated to play Lord of the Fallen though.

Lords of the fallen. Better aestetics, graphics and brilliant world design, more build variety, bosses armors and weapons, replayability, plus this game has the best multiplayer co-op in entire souls genre.
Lies of P is just a good copy of sekiro with great performance, even playable on potato PC's, also less buggy. Thats why people like it more.

Lies of P is just better idea overall tbh and that is why I like it and not because it's less buggy and performs well lol.

The combat in LoP is much more polished than in this game and also, exploration in LoP is fun and it's not frustrating like it is in LotF.

About the "more build variety", I am playing Strength only build in LotF and I have like <5 weapons to choose from because most of the weapons also want either magic stats like Radiance or Inferno for some mysterious reason or they also want A LOT of Agility. Lies of P has 40 weapons, 29 from those are normal weapons which can be disassembled and assembled again with some different parts so there are basically infinite amount of weapons in LoP, the weapons in LoP are also much more interesting, especially the boss weapons, not sure if all of them, but most of them has their own unique animations to charge attacks and also all of the weapons do have weapon arts which also makes LoP much more interesting than this game which is basically light/heavy attack spam.

I have no idea what you mean by replayability, LotF from what I know is basically the same as LoP, but they take away some vestiges and spam even more enemies to locations + the big bosses like The Sundered Monarch for example, do have extremely high amount of health, but the bosses overall are very boring and easy so it doesn't add any fun to the gameplay, it just takes longer to slash the hell out of these bosses.

Best multiplayer co-op... I mean... I don't know much about multiplayer, but I feel like the multiplayer is basically the same as it is in Dark Souls games or Elden Ring + the overall multiplayer is broken af currently so that is another thing.

The world is amazing, the umbral looks amazing, it's a nice idea, but it's executed in a very tedious way. It would have been more enjoyable if the spawn of the enemies in Umbral wasn't so constant. That is why looks isn't everything... LoP has great looking world from Belle Epoque era which is pretty interesting in the first place because there aren't many games from this era, especially souls-likes (the closest is probably bloodborne), LotF is just another dark fantasy world like Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Mortal Shell.

The boss armor and weapons, there are boss weapons in LoP and like I said, they are much more interesting than in LotF because in LoP, the weapons actually are unique and do something which other weapons do not do... that being the weapon arts and unique charge attack animations, I personally didn't find any weapon arts in LotF, even though I have heard that they are there which I am not sure if it's true, but it's definitely missing there for me.

Lies of P is a copy of Sekiro... not sure why would you include this in your explanation why LotF is better than LoP, but okay. LotF is just a copy of Dark Souls with Umbral world mechanic, so we are 1 for 1 here lol, like literally though, there are so many Blighttown-like locations that it's just more annoying copy of DS1 with DS2 controls.
Sekiro has probably the best controls that a game can have, it also is GOTY and there is a reason for it... the combat was just 10/10 so copying Sekiro is much more interesting than copying Dark Souls which is usually nowadays considered as an average souls game because there are souls-like and also Elden Ring with a lot of great ideas which move the genre to a next level. LotF is just Dark Souls 4 so it's nothing interesting tbh.

The creativity in story is also much more thought through in LoP imo, in LotF the story is just a classic chaos and destruction in a dark world. LoP is the same I would say, but having Pinnocchio as a base for the story is much more interesting because there are no games like LoP in terms of story, it's the only game which uses Pinnocchio as a base for the lore and many people forget about it, it's original which nobody has never seen before.

Co-op is different and easier, more user friendly even compared to from soft games like Elden Ring, PvP is completely broken I agree with that but didn't encounter any issues with coop.
I said just a copy of sekiro because they took the gameplay from it, which can be a nice thing but they put it in an uninteresting world with an uninteresting character. Otherwise it's completely fine to copy something successful. I prefer any dark fantasy setting compared to a pinnoccio theme.

I will keep it simple and short. If you are looking for a game like Elden Ring until new DLC release, you can't find any other game except LOTF. That one thing alone makes it better for me. LoP and LOTF can be both souls like games but actually very different ones. I don't mean LoP is a bad game but it's not for me.

Out of the two lotf has held my interest better. That being said LoP floors lotf in terms of performance, runs silky smooth and no super annoying bugs where as every session in lotf has at least one issue (alongside the still ongoing performance issues).

I found lotf's world more interesting granted I feel it still feels a bit whatever at times, gameplay...feels better but off, whereas lop feels like ol reliable but I feel it really lacks variety though I would love to see lop or some other game build on the weapon part swapping mechanic (loved it in Vagrant Story too).

Lop feels safe, not too crazy, mostly fine difficulty wise (though summoning the npc spirit trivalizes bosses so it doesn't feel like there's a nice middle ground between challenging boss and pushover.

lotf takes a lot of risks that do not pay off in the slightest and has A LOT of stuff, but it's a lot of guff for the most part, plenty of areas long overstay their welcome, gank fights are too frequent and the bosses are a joke (genuinely feel like the first three major bosses are the closest to fair challenge then it just slowly pivots into turbo easy mode), hell I don't even know what some of the latter half bosses do cause they're so easy to nuke in seconds.

Tbh, I feel both are kinda just ok titles but lotf sliiiightly edges out thanks to having co op which is one of my favourite aspects of the soulslike genre.
LoTF has a great take on the ranged system. Not having to swap my hands around and scrolling through spells to get to what i want is very refreshing.
It also has really good drip, serves the fashionsouls side of things nicely.
Lastly longevity is on LoTF's side, if they rotate around the covenant rewards and have more events akin to the Halloween one, but with unique encounters and not just adding a pumpkin on top of an existing enemy, then I can see myself playing even after getting all the achievements, which is when I usually move on.

In every other regard LoTF falls short for me. Especially in the bosses, what a boring cakewalk they are, unless they force you into boring "look at me phases", then its really challenging to not fall asleep.

Both great in their own ways. Both part of the Soulslike genre, but very different in their story and playstyles.

Also, why are people still basing a game purely off reviews? Everyone knows nowadays that games get review bombed for any and every issue they have. 90% of negative reviews for LotF are for issues that have already been taken care of.

The problem is most of those guys who say "Ill change my review when they fix the game" are either unwilling to let go of a grudge after the game is fixed, or they have short memories and forget to ever fix the review, or just tuck the game away and forget all about it.

Never listen to launch day reviews, and take launch week reviews with a grain of salt.

Both Lies of the Fallen and Lords of Pi were awesome games.

Although that 2 door boss riddle fight from Lies of the Fallen was hard.

And that Lords of Pi boss fight that uses Trigonometry based attacks took me FOREVER to defeat.
