Dark crusader seems a bit op lol.

18 endurance, starts with an amulet, 2 handed sword, radiance spells, hits enemies for 145+ with a ton of HP and armor. No wonder it was an early unlock for deluxe haha.

We will see how OP it actually is in game. If it's possible to easily defeat Lightreaper at the end of the tutorial, anyone will clearly say the class is OP.

It's what you would expect from a class that you would have to unlock. The other unlockable classes might make Dark Crusader look weak in comparison though, you never know.

I watched someone almost do it as a naked character, so if dark crusader can do it, I wouldn't be surprised.

it starts with 17 endurance and doesnt have any spells lol? it has a throw able that you can use like 4 times before having to either rest or use a ammo pouch its not op at all just play a hollow knight and get a early 2h sword and you basically have the same class the most op class is the condemned you you start the lowest level meaning you can level up super fast and actually pick the stats you want

dark crusader will be "op" for like 2 hours of game play if that

I haven't played with another class yet, but I'm 7(?) bosses in just past Infernal Enchantress and have had my share of feeling like I'm doing chip damage to some bosses or enemies at this point. But I dont know how for reference playing with a different set of gear that utilizes the same playstyle (heavy armor + greatsword) would fair. I've only actually gotten like 2 other greatswords, one of them a better version of the first that both do less damage, but I think weigh less than the dark crusader one.
Now, Dark Crusader isn't like the other unlockable classes. You get it just for following a character's questline in the game and that's it and you would when clearing the game get one of those other classes with dark crusader. The others need you to get specific endings that can require you going a bit more out of your way to accomplish them, so it's possible those might be significantly stronger.

I guess it's good to add a class which can carry new players who are getting into this genre though, no harm doing so

Its not actually a grandsword it starts with. Its just a long sword, and i wouldnt call it op at all. The armor is good, thats about it. I replaced the sword super fast, got rid of the really not good throwable. Only thing i still have of the class is the amulet which gives a few points of strength, and endurance.
