The only complaint I have
Why does every single soulslike wanna make you feel like a dwarf compared to every boss? Monsters I understand but human bosses thatre 2000 foot tall and you over here looking like a 4 foot dwarf … it’s just annoying to me. At least dark souls had a reason to why you were so short, because you were a descendant of the pigmy. But now everyone wants to do this and it’s kinda annoying. Especially when npcs are the same height and then a random human boss is like triple the height for no reason like what?

The reason is not story related (as you said, it makes no sense), but gameplay related. Larger enemies are easier to read.

it's become part of the genre, it also feel satisfying to down a daunting boss, that david v goliath feeling

Another explanation, from long time ago, is so you can see their moves ;-)

But you can’t when they’re the same size? I have most of my hours on dark souls 3 in pvp and that statement is completely false

I think its to emphasize the fact that while the boss has brute force, we're trumping that with skill. He may be bigger, tankier, and hit harder, but we're able to dodge his blows and read his moves and bridge the gap with skill and that's more impressive than just being stronk.

it is actually the reason for bosses being bigger, not my design, just passing you why they did it, that's my remembering from Sekiro logic for instance.

Edit: Think in Sekiro why every miniboss and boss was bigger and had a sizeable and very visible weapon? so that you could see the move.

Yeah but that logic has been debunked because of PvP but I mean the dude who said some sort of philosophy about it makes sense also

I understand what you are saying and it is true, but that's the original reason, I think it has stayed that way because on top of that, it makes bosses more fearsome, etc

Developers make bosses large to be more readable or visible. Even people who should be regular size are made bigger, so the fight feels more epic. You just gotta accept that the boss isnt always really that big in the game universe, it's just a visual thing.

I’d like to see a souls like completely make everyone almost same size and see what happens

I prefer fighting human-sized bosses. I find the whole "large creature" shtick a bit boring.

The best fights in Sekiro were against human-sized enemies, because everything moves quicker and is more active.

I completely agree with you there. Even the slightly bigger human sized enemies weren’t even that bad either, it just flowed way better because most of the time you weren’t fighting Zeus’s ♥♥♥♥ sized bosses

because if the boss is small, its going to be infuriating to hit.

Midnight did you watch the game? there are small bosses also...
