Co-Op Item Sharing

I'm hoping to play this game in Co-op with a buddy of mine, and though the game state is tied to the Host it's been repeatedly said the Client can stay with you through the whole thing.

Thus many have shared their concerns with the Client's potential lack of items in comparison to the Host if they wished to play the game start-to-finish in the same world.
For me and my friend, that problem is nullified entirely if it is possible for me to drop equipment for them that I will not use or gear that better fits their build.

Due to the amount of focus on Clients not getting access to chest loot and other imminent release questions I haven't been able to find more than a single un-sourced comment stating the devs confirmed it to be possible.
Seeing that it has no source to back it up, I can't rely on it for a solid answer.

Has anyone found any solid confirmation that Item Sharing is possible? I believe figuring that out could put more minds at ease than just my own.

In our case this is true. Perhaps not for others, though that isn't what I'm asking.

Me and my pal tend to favour entirely different builds, so we don't want the same gear. What we'd want is for the Host to be able to drop equipment they are not going to use, that the Client will want to use, in the hopes we'd avoid the classic Souls-like issue of having to constantly reply the same section's twice for each player.

I'd be fine with replying sections, I'm used to it, but my friend isn't favourable to it and would prefer to avoid it if possible.

Ah, I wasn't aware of an embargo at all. That explains the lack of available information.
Perhaps my question will be answered before that but I'm sure the Youtube feed will be swimming with answers tomorrow regardless.

If it is allowed, we can basically just give away the Dark Crusader equipment unless it's account bound.

Seeing as it, and other classes, can be unlocked through playing the game I also wouldn't be surprised if they simple don't care.
If you give out gear you got early to people who'd likely have it later anyway it wouldn't change much.

It's not like it's a deluxe only item... considering you can unlock it regardless.

I know, it's not stopping new people asking for it though. But this further makes the only incentive for the deluxe edition to be 3D model viewer. As for the item sharing question, it's been asked twice in an AMA but it's been ignored twice.

two pices of same armor?.. Dude, you do realize you as a joiner get absolutely not a thing right?.. every hidden weapon, every chest. every Boss you kill that drop exotic loot, you dont get a single pice of that.
you just get crappy stuff dropped by mobs, IF they drop any wich is rare, and if youre friend dont pick it up before you.

maybe when you play co op with youre friend you also want a fancy exotic cool looking weapon, he gets from first boss you get from second.

but noo, if you want to be stuck with the same starter gear go ahead.

I'm subscribing to this thread as this is the critical question to whether I and my friend will buy this game or not. We want to co-op the game together all the way through the campaign :)

it has been confirmed by the devs in a video that no your not getting more than one of the items that drops so you will have to share and trade it,

Yeah the question was is trading/sharing items possible in the game? There was no confirmation about that anywhere.

i think i saw a video with the devs confirming that you could drop stuff. weapons/armors/hp, and youre co op friend could pick it up.. but still i guess when youre friend plays the game with ya he wants to keep every boss drop and hidden chests items for himself.

wich for me destroys the whole concept of co op. i dont care ifi have to do it again in my own world. but dont let me run through the entire game with the same gear only because im not allowed to share or get duplicates

Yeah that is my concern too. Also there might be things like flask upgrades (to use more potions, etc) that might be rewards from chests that both host and friend would need in order to become stronger.
