Runes should show you what they actually give you
I think that runes like "Increase this and that" should show you by how much they actually increase the stat.

I am running Strength build, I have a greatsword with 3 of the same circular rune slots, I have slotted 1x increase strength scaling and 2x increase physical damage...

The thing is that if my runes are equipped, they show the exact damage values and scaling values as if they weren't equipped and I have to test them on enemies to see how much it actually gives.

It would be really cool to actually see how much physical damage they give you and also how your scaling changes when equipping the runes.

I agree, or there could be a thing near the smith we could hit to see the damage, so we dont have to go out finding an enemy and back to the smith every time we want to tjek :)

Yes we should be able to see the numbers and know what exactly each rune is doing.

Or you could be nice, and give the tablets to the correct individual, so you can upgrade and socket runes at a vestige, then walk over and smack an enemy, lol

Problem with that is you lose out on a really nice rune AND you can't purchase (unlimited) tier 3 material upgrades from her if you do that.

So you have to resort to farming them which is much slower...

This isn't a valid opinion on this "issue" and also, it doesn't matter... you should be able to see what they give because it only makes sense.

Agreed. Much needed clarity. It puzzles me that the info is clearly presented for defensive stats, but not for offensive stats. If there is a logic/reason behind this, I'd love for the devs to give some insight into why that is.

I don't really think there is a reason behind this, it's either broken or they forgot about it because there is literally no reason to not show you such information.

I have done a lot of testing for my build and already shared some of the observations before.

This testing was done on my STR/RAD paladin build using pure physical damage weapon and sole scaling with Strength. I would assume my observations would apply to other types of damage and stat scaling as a general rule. I have also done some RAD scaling later.

Some notes:
1. Inserting rune into a weapon does not change its stat sheet damage numbers.
2. Same runes can be used multiple times to get benefits, however, STR scaling rune Hilvit seems to have diminishing returns, ie. 2nd rune provided marginally smaller benefit than the first one used. This is not the case with Ixon rune, increases Physical damage of the weapon. This leads me to believe Ixon is additive flat amount of damage added to a weapon, therefore, showing same increase with 1st and 2nd rune used.
3. Using a rune that increases stat scaling that is not present on a weapon will result in no damage increase even if weapon stat sheet shows stat scaling value in green compared to unmodified version.
4. Not all runes that have same functionality, eg. Increase STR scaling, are made equal. Some provide higher benefit than others.
5. RAD scaling runes do not work in a same manner as STR ones. RAD scaling runes provide higher benefit than rune providing flat Holy damage.
6. Status build up runes either do not work or their benefit is negligible. I tested both Ignire and Smite ones on proper weapon already applying the status effect and it took same amount of hits with or without rune to apply the status effect.

Here are specific findings from STR rune testing:
Weapon used: Crimson Rector Sword +10, B+ STR scaling
Ativ | Increases STR scaling | Result: 6% increase | 2nd rune used: not tested
Hilvit | Increases STR scaling | Result: 7.4% increase | 2nd rune used: 6.9% increase
Ixon | Increases Phys. damage | Result: 10.1% increase | 2nd rune used: 10.1% increase
