'DX12 is not supported on your system .Try running without -dx12 or d3d12 command line argument.'

Here it goes. Countless patches since launch and I still cannot play the game.
The major part here is that i do use Windows 10 and there will be no update because I don't want to. The game's system requirements do not mention any specific version or the need to update, so there.

Hardware specs:
Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2620 v3 @2.40Ghz(12 CPUS), ~2.4GHz
memory: 16384 MB RAM
DirectX 12 (!!)
Video: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti

Get the patch done please. I actually don't know why I specifically have to make another topic of this when the problem is clearly on the developers' side and I am not the only one.

Don't tell me to update okay? Thanks.

Of course you can:)

And the answer is: because I don't want to.

Okay. I get it. Then dont complain about the game not working.

Copy them over to /Lords of the Fallen/LOTF2/Binaries/Win64/D3D12
If that does not work try placing hem here /Lords of the Fallen/LOTF2/Binaries/Win64/

You will want the d3d12.dll and D3D12Core.dll to be there from the x64 folder.

Overwrite any existing files that are there already.

In theory it should work but its been a while since i used it on windows since I am fully operating on Linux these days so I have no way to test it.

That wont work on windows because of EAC and also requires the dxgi.dll file from dxvk.

What's your PC specs in general ?
Also unless you have Windows 11, post exact build number as seen via "WinVer". Because obsolete Win10 builds do not get served by major updates anymore.

I keep seeing the option to run games in DirectX12 but not finding much solid information about what it is. I know its supposed to run games better sometimes, im just curious is using dx 12 easier or harder on your PC? Im not having gameplay issues, it runs good I'll just choose the option that's easier on my PC. I dont know a whole lot about the meaning of certain specification I'd just like to do whatever is easier on my PC

Alienware Aurora R6
Processor Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7700 CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHz
Installed RAM 16.0 GB
System type 64-bit operating system, x64-based processor
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070
Windows 10

Well, not wanting to upgrade technology is kind of like the absolute opposite of wanting to own a gaming PC. Technology moves forward, not backwards. If you don't want to upgrade your OS (Which you need to use the new DX's) you might as well just buy a console.

I was thinking about it. I mean about buying a console. But fixed myself an update to W11 in the end. It would be too high of a price to pay elsewise because I also bought AW2 and it wasn't working too (as well as the f*cking remake of TLOU). So buying this stuff twice (I mean LotF and EW2 because I tried only pirated version of TLOU) is kinda overkill for me.

Ahahaha, update didn't help much actually. Launched the game, turned all graphic settings at minimum, looked at the f*king stuttering for a couple of minutes and deleted it from my SSD forever. This is total bull, my dear developers. Gone playing Alan Wake 2 (which is working brilliantly by the way).

Hey guess what. Update your OS. First off, old versions of Windows are most likely already breached by hackers and it puts your system at a large risk of being hacked by some random person who feels like it.

Secondly, your system doesn't support DX12 because it came with later versions of Windows.

It's like people buy computers and just have absolutely no idea how to use them.

In short, update your OS.

Oh also, you buy from Epic Games. The company that uses super shady tactics to get companies to sell only to their platform. We don't like you here on Steam, you Epic Games supporter.
