Smite lightning question.

So i am using Pieta 5+ sword and the lightning happens on random and i saw a video with some halbred or mace doing it every second hit, is there a way to increase or shorten the time it happens?

There are runes to increase the buildup but generally speaking some weapons just have higher buildup naturally and there are salts that increase it as well
