Respec'ing...

Why are games likes this so against letting you respec? I don't understand why it has to be some difficult thing to do all the time especially since you find items from the start to the very end of the game. I've always found it frustrating. Have all these items that require stats to use, but can't respec your character for some sort of fee to be able to do it.

I know 2 can be bought for 8k (one of which i messed up by taking an elevator.. great quest..) and you can get an "infinite" amount with plucked eyes. Which that whole plucked eyes system is broken and isnt even working correctly (region differences? costs 75 but cant purchase?).

I'm just venting. I wish you could have more fun with playing with all these weapons as you get them to see what you would love to spend your materials on to push further.

It's just a design philosophy. To encourage committing to the character build choices you make over time. It's more of an old school thing that doesn't jive with everyone anymore.

That is just like anything else in this game. If you want it, you’ve got to earn it.

If I want the Radiant laser beam spell, I had to go collect multiple items in different areas to be able to purchase it.

If I want more to be able to plant checkpoints in between vestiages, I would need to have the vigor to purchase seeds.

If I want to reset all of my skill points and completely retune my character as if I was restarting the game, I don’t see why purchasing an item to do this would be some big inconvenience. I think having the ability to reset or change your stats on the fly would have more cons than pros.
