What kidn of weapon did you had the most fun with?

So I tried swords, maces, ultragreatswords, greatswords great hammers. The most fun I had was with the Great hammer. That sound when you bonk someone is just too good and makes me laugh. I am nto saying it is the strongest, but deffinately most fun i had :)

I love longswords. The moveset for the 1 handed attacks are very nice and can be used in multiple situations.

My main man. Those snake guys, the xbow dudes and the fire chicks. All of them deserve epic Bonks. When I grow up I want to be big and strong so I can duel wield G-Hammers.

Im the single worst souls PVP player on the planet but that running R2 has saved me so many times its not funny.
You 1 shot everything thats not a boss and they can only withstand 9 or 10 of those then its over haha

I mained Great Hammers and Grand Swords for about half of the game until I unlocked the Red Hand Longsword and Shield of Whispers and never looked back.

Great shields are so OP here especially leveled up and the Longsword moveset is *chefs kiss* the Red Hand hits as hard as a freaking Grand Swords if you spec quality thanks to it's insane scaling definitely give it a try at some point!

ngl, I havent even tried using a shield yet.
I figured I only get wither when using my weapon as a shield so using an actual shield is pointless unless the shield gives you less wither?

Yeah I wanted to try great shields, for my next playthrough. Quality I havent tried in this game yet. THanks for the tip!

Right now i am strugling, with umbral scouring, i was stupid and redeemed armours and now i am trying to farm it on the red specters, but with the great weapons they are basically unkilable.

Shields give you much less Wither on blocks especially great shields while also having much higher stability so you take almost 0 stamina damage. They really snap the difficulty in half during those more intense melee encounters

Did you try poke knight? :D. I mean spear + shield? It might be fun, but the lack of aoe might be a problem especial in umbral.
