That's what I tried at first but my reaction times aren't the best. All the lantern nodes around the area are sort of a hint.
He's shockingly susceptible to stagger. Not grievous strike but just being knocked out of an animation.
Yeah the crit does a pathetic amount of damage. If there's one big gripe I have with the combat it's that crits are not worth the risk of parrying or charging the lamp.
The chain backstab/stagger only works later against normies ones when you have a good enough weapon for it, but the soulfly on when he opens for an instant topple works on all of them near as I can tell.
Near the end I could reliably chain stagger and grievous a lot of enemies. Damage doesn't matter that much if they never get to stand up again (and the damage was roughly 2/3s of a fully charged heavy as well as 2 attacks).
Edit: The real power of grievous is that they fall on the ground. Where you can charged heavy them twice. Which often depletes all of their stagger bar again (might take a quick kick to make them fall). So you just give them a chain beatdown they can never get out of.
open back area? how open it? when I enter boss fight yo ucan later when finish it put down a ladder
That area behind the umbral wall. Two (iirc) parasites you can pop during the fight to open it up and get to the higher platform.
I believe those blue lumps on the wall generate both soulflay charge and withered health when you succ them with R1/RB
2.) two fully charged attacks with Eye of Loash equipped
3.) riposte
Done. Easy as 1, 2, 3.
