Inferno is a terrible stat
Completed the game twice now. Almost completed it a third time. Inferno was the hardest. Everything is resistant to Inferno. You get all your spells at mid to end game. Everything is resistant to Inferno. Yes, I said that twice. It sucks.

Seriously - why is everything resistant to it? And no, I don't care about "muh lore". This is entirely about what feels good in the game. Inferno feels like ass.

Well no guff the fire enemies are resistant to fire. That's just common sense in a RPG, should they instead be weak to it?

The eye summon is pretty great and available from the beginning.

how do you find spell builds compared to melee? are they easier or harder, I am debating whether to start a radiance character once I finished my current play through

All radiance needs to steamroll the game is the imbue, rest is just pretty bling bling and overkill. As much as Holy was worthless in the end in Elden Ring as much OP it is in this game.

Holy was freaking strong in Elden Ring, clearly you don't know how to optimise it.
The issue was how the last two bosses make holy damage impossible to use against them.

I am pretty sure that's what he meant by 'the end'.

Like 70% of the bosses are fire element. They coulda at least varied it a bit, ya know?

Pyro has always been one of the harder spell schools in Souls games. They generally take the longest to get a good spells and catalysts, and many enemies are resistant. But they can also deal incredible damage in the long run.

Faith/Radiance is usually always the easiest spell school to get powerful early on.

Inferno only has an issue with the start due to most of the enemies there are evil beings that have higher resistance to fire. It's why a cleric is a bit easier since it hits a little harder, but get to the first boss who's holy.......oof.
Took me a ton of tries on my holy spellcaster, but took her down much quicker on inferno. Just depends what you're fighting. Maybe keep something in your back pocket just in case, or start pumping that inferno stat after you get your health up.

The devs love their radiance builds *Stares at Pieta's Sword*

When you kill the horseman, get that magic spear spell. It hits like a tank.
By the end game I was lvl 100 and doing about 1200 dmg per toss with 35 radiance and 32 inferno.

It has an aoe also so you can spike tons of trash mobs in tight areas

Given how fast you can swing that thing and it's reach, on top of scaling off radiance stat, yeah it's pretty potent.

It also comes with smite, which is just bleed from ER so it does a percentage based amount of damage. Inferno has Ignite as their similar gimmick, but, apparently ignite does a set amount of damage cause balans! Also, Pieta's Sword is pretty early on in the game.

I am playing just fine with an Inferno build. Even the Fire enchantress mobs get nuked with two Magma Surge spells from me.
