Mimic items
How can I recognize if it's a mimic?

The light tail at the end is chaotic and very squiggly. Also you can use soul flay to kill the "mimic" and actually get the item.

The tail will move around more frantically. In case of doubt, use soulflay on it. This will kill the mimic.

look at the thing.

see that glowing trail coming off it.

if it's moving around like there's a gentle breeze...it's an item. grab that loot!
if it's moving around like it's caught in a tornado...it's a mimic. Soulflay that ♥♥♥♥♥!

Wow, I didn't know about the soulflay thing. I would just avoid it. In fact, the last time I played, one of those mimics killed me lol. Thanks for the tip!

Yeah I learned about it by someone else the the forums as well, because I use to just avoid all of them, but I had a gut feeling there was a way to get the item.

Yeah I learned about it by someone else the the forums as well, because I use to just avoid all of them, but I had a gut feeling there was a way to get the item.

So I might have missed some good items...

I can't say "good items" as I never remember getting weapons or anything from them, but I know for a fact that every "mimic" drops a vestige moth to teleport back to your vestige without losing any vigor. They drop other things but I can't remember exactly what it was.
