Last Patch introduced stuttering again
Played this morning just fine after this bigger patch.

Went to relaunch it, another 178MB patch. Ok fine. Get into game and its stuttering like crazy now. Its like it discarded all my compiled shaders, and its not recompiling them on startup.

Re-install your GPU drivers, even the same ones you already have. This should force shader compilation to kick in again.

Try this from the pinned topic. It worked wonders for me. Also I skipped step c and no issues at all.

If that doesn’t work, please try deleting your PSOs by following the steps below:
a. Go to: "X:\Users\MYUSER\AppData\Local\LOTF2\Saved\"
b. Delete the *.UPIPELINECACHE file
c. Right click on the game. Select ‘Properties’ - ‘Installed Files’ - Click on "Verify Integrity of Caché"

if your using vsync and frame cap, disable in game and use them in the nvidia control panel fixed my stuttering. I only tried the game for a short time but that totally worked for me.

every time i rolled or did an action etc i would lose 1 to 2 frames, and this fixed that.

After the latest patch the game would crash about every 5 mins after hitting "Continue". This fixed that!

I have no noticeable stutter but some areas in the game, especially if you are in Umbral, have completely broken textures and volumetric light effects. Some areas have textures covering the whole screen that makes object behind it disappear, including enemies. You can walk through it and be surprised by few angry monsters waiting for you.

a bit of stuttering when there is a game saving ruins the game?

I'm not talking about the occassional stutter. I was fine up until that patch. The shader cache became invalidated and the game isn't making a new one. That is the problem and that stutter is terrible.

This works 100% for the shader stuttering issue was insane how strong the stuttering was and I was already suspecting it to be tied to the game not recompiling shaders after updating my gpu driver.

Stuttering Fix
This really helped :
* In Nvidia Control Panel set the Low Latency mode to ON
In the Grafics Setting of the Game :
* Turn Vsync ON
* Set the FPS to your monitors refresh rate and not to unlimited (In my case 60Hz)
* Set Nvidia Reflex to ON
It runs very very smooth now
I run it in Fullscreen mode
