I highly advise wiping them in safe mode with DDU, rebooting into windows, installing the drivers, rebooting again tyen following the original steps in the first post again.
If that doesnt work I have no idea but Im bout to crash so good luck
If you want Frame Gen back, right click the game in steam, go to properties, and add this to the launch options:
-DLSSFG
Then turn it on in the options. But again, it was reportedly causing a lot of crashes so that's the first thing you should get rid of if you're crashing.
My tips for you with this game: If you want a lot of frames but don't want to sacrifice eye candy, just play at high. It still uses all the same bells and whistles as ultra, just slightly dialed back but they're far more optimized values. Tweak up specific settings if certain visual elements bug you. Also make sure you're using DLSS upscaling. At 1080p, you'll probably just want DLAA, but at 1440p, quality mode looks pretty great still, and at 4k you can go down to performance mode with it still looking really solid.
Also, there's nothing wrong with your GPU being at 99% usage. It's a good thing, actually, it just means that your CPU is capable of keeping your GPU fed in that game. Though the best way to play games is with a framerate cap (on a gsync capable screen, use vsync otherwise) with enough headroom to not drop below the target the vast majority of the time. Consistency matters more to our brains than raw frames, even with VRR technologies like gsync.
But if you're talking about the menu, the game takes 10 or so minutes when you first start it to load shaders or something, during which your CPU usage should be higher than normal.
But in game 99% GPU is completely normal. If it goes considerably lower, like 70%, that means you're probably CPU limited or facing some other issue, which is not what you want.
Theres an order of operations.
I only told you to try and wipe the caches first because it takes all of 13 seconds.
Rolling back via control panel isnt gonna solve it.
If doing this doesnt resolve the issue ill be surprised.
So he can listen to me, whos built PCs for 30 years and dealt with video cards since gefore256 and voodoo, and try it for a chance.
Or you, who knows nothing, is too lazy to troubleshoot and would rather just complain than do the things a PC user does when he needs to.
