Disable Invasions?
I don't like fighting random people and would prefer to keep my game solo. I don't want to "git gud" I wanna have fun. At least, an option to turn it off in settings? I get the game has a theme but forced pvp is kinda spicy for me. :Speech_Confused:

As for anyone who's just going to comment to get better at the game or "Take your L", please don't. :smilecat:

I would not mind that option at all.

I recommend just going to main menu the second you see the invasion. You dont really lose any progress, you can start back up instantly, and the invader gets to sit in more load screens.

First: Take your L. With the constant disconnects and absurd lag we're happy if we even get a good invasion at all. Second: Turn of multiplayer, get's rid of Invasions but also Co-op.

1. turning off multiplayer makes it impossible to coop and get red lanterns for the community.

2. The mirrors are temporary, and limited per game(apparently) so you can only get like 10 max.

Thank you! I was unaware of this!

Lots of people here have a good idea to avoid PVP as well. Thanks everyone!

PvP also unlocks stuff for the community. The only thing that really sucks is the amount of rewards we get per kill vs what is needed for unlocks. The last tier rewards amount to around 2.5k Severed hands which means around 280 dead people, for one PvPer that wants the tincts and armor. Pretty sure PvP will die down after that because there is literally no reason to keep doing it after that, other than fun. Each one needs to kill over 10% of the current user base, that is what seems kinda insane to me, not even counting the amount needed to progress to the last tier.

I know there is also a community based teir system for severed hands. But as Micheal Jordan says

"♥♥♥♥ them PvPers"

I hate invasions so much I would specificly toggle the option on just to main menu when they join every single time.

I don't like them very much either. Connection issues and absurd imbalance make them seriously unfun currently but fashion be fashion, gotta get them all.

Use the mirror? They added it in the game for a reason

That's a good point about it contributing to community unlocks. For me, I liked defending hosts more than anything, and really have no interest in invading.

But in this game unlike others soulslikes, I have no real interest in getting invaded either. It's not the 'cost' for some kind of boost in other games. Say, for using humanity a la Souls or co-oping. It's just there all the time. I'm overlevelled since I spent extra vigor on levels instead of items. (I probably should have just kept buying skulls.) But now I have to go up against people much closer to or at endgame. So, I just play offline until I have access to the items they do.

I have plenty of plucked eyeballs, so there's no upside for me at the moment. And at x3 per lantern, it doesn't feel like there's a reason to play online. Like many other features in the game, I keep wondering "why is it like this?" There aren't even the comedic elements of online play like bloodstains or messages. Ugh.
Edit: Paragraph spacing.

The limited time, limited numbered resource?

Enter a Password and you just have to enter it again every time you restart the game. Revenge is also available with Password.

Good idea, man. Do you know off-hand if lanterns work when passworded?
