Umbral Scouring "Farming" ?

Simple, and maybe stupid, question. Is there a way to get Umbral Scouring other than with the stigma (just 2, yeaaahh...), some bosses and the scarlet shadows (giving 5, so fun...) ?
I'm asking because farming scarlet shadows is a pain in the *ss, it take so much time and they are as resistant as bosses (even more than some bosses).

I like to join coop with people and kill bosses with them for like 5 per boss usually.

Scarlet Shadows are the only way. What level are you? I am 105 and can easily farm them. Maybe you need to level up a bit to comfortably do that. having a radiance build also helps if you need healing in between.

I tried doing that and to be honest, not worth the hassle. He is spongy as hell. Spends most of the fight under the floor, than you got deal to with the constant adds that pile up.

I guess your build is not strong enough or you are low level. I need like a minute to down him at this point which is fine. The 4 minute wait is what sucks most.

I am 112 at the moment. I just need about 12 Umbral Scouring to get the Umbral Clump that needs 50. I am trying to get to Mother's lull.

I mean, mage builds are a thing, but as far as I know, you cant hold more than 1 catalyst, correct?

I have the Orian Hammer maxed. The Abbess Catalyst maxed, has 5 spell slots for radiance spells. Then I have the Tancred shield. That is level 3 at the moment.

Yeah from what I see, there is no multi use catalyst. So if I want to use umbral spell, I have to switch to an Umbral catalyst/

Which in the Dark Souls game I was able to use sorcery spells and fire spells together.

Rings allow you to cast spells without the proper catalyst.

Ok, so you plan on fire spells. See, I was just thinking you had accidently put like 15 points into Inf, or was usinf a fire based weapon, like the Ruiner's axe or something.

There are some areas near certain vestiges where you can face Scarlet in fair 1v1 combat in a small area but without more enemies, point to keep in mind is that if you get too close to the vestige the threshold eye closes and Scarlet resets , if you move away from the vestige the mobs will spam and it will no longer be a 1vs1 combat

If you control the area and have the right build you can kill her ''easily'', because she only has two attacks in her pattern, and they are very easy to see, but you will have to perfect the combat because she kills you with one hit since her aura it makes you debuf

Overall there are too many things to buy and, according to achievements, it seems we're actually expected to buy 'em... Somebody needs to doublecheck economy balance, unless it was always the plan to get you to play several iterations of NG+.

Was able to somewhat modify the most recent farming glitch into almost legit kill, but its still pretty annoying - ~1250 damage appears to be less than 1/10th of its HP pool, like a proper boss...
So the idea is: kill everything around the wooden platform outside Bell Room vestige, wait till Scarlet Shadow spawns then run in circles (stop right after dropping down) till she gets stuck on a wooden beam leading to the platform and slap her with vertical attacks, while the elevation difference protects you from Scarlet's attacks.
Takes some time and technically you do fight her unlike the AFK farm glitch, but at least it's been relatively safe. Might even get lucky and get her to fall.
