Multiplayer doesn't work

I waited for 1 hour looking for someone to either help or invade with 20.000 active players and found none.
I don't know how multiplayer is handled in this game, but it's kinda weird. Could it be because of my level? I'm level 138, and I gained most of these levels by playing with other people. However, now it seems like I can't find any hosts. The only time I found one, I had 300+ ping, and the bosses were incredibly hard... is this happening only to me?

I usually return to the main menu if I don't find anyone for a while and that fixes the matchmaking. That's not counting the crap ton of disconnects I still get when trying to join people.

Yeah, that works for maybe one person, then it goes dead again. So quiting to the main menu you want to summon someone or maybe joined a person's game is not really productive.

The matchmaking gets hung up. In Settings > Multiplayer, flick it offline and back online and try again. If all else fails, hit the main menu and load back in. This usually jumpstarts it and I get an immediate match with someone.

I tried this and works for invasions atleast even tho most of the times the host dc

I have been getting disconnected from the host before I even arrive in their world. I tried like 3 times in a roll and each time it ends up with disconnect.

Try turning off crossplay and see if that helps connect you with someone with a stronger connection.

Same on Xbox. Its available in game pass and there are thousands of players, cross play, and nothing… Multiplayer is completely broken.

What AzzUK said usually works for me; go back to main menu, continue, then sign up for multiplayer again.

I just played, everything works — co-op, invasions happen within seconds.

Just returned today after months away. Got on a lvl 70 character and qued up. Took 5-10 minutes and then I spent the next hour running someone through sunless skein and depths, led him to winterberry, just like old times 😂

I've never had a problem finding matches since launch, but it always seemed I was the minority in that regard.

Edit: Just hopped on my 220 main and got summoned within about a minute.
