Can I rename my character?

Pretty late in the game. Would like to rename.

Was told but haven't checked it out yet, but some of the items and whatnot including unlocked classes carry over to other characters you create. I like my name personally as it's actually my name and was more surprised they actually let me use it for once.

Edit: It doesn't look like you can change it through the various guides that came up on a search.
