Every update further breaks and degrades this game. It is now unplayable.
For Seamless co-op this game is total ♥♥♥♥. Modded Elden Ring Seamless Co-Op by players is better then this steaming pile of trash that's supposed to come with the game.
Yesterday it was unplayable due to six second lag delays, invisible enemy hit boxes that traveled outside the creature model, and frame-rates diving to 5 fps and teleporting the co-op player off cliffs.

Now while it was ♥♥♥♥ at the beginning, that update only made it worse. Now with this next one, Co-Op is back to a reasonably playable (Not good by any standards) level. The PROBLEM is that progress does not save for the co-op player if the host closes the game, or it crashes (Editing in, He did not even close the game or it crashed. He only went to the main menu.) Meaning I spent five hours in a friend's game, he reset the game to fix his frames, and then my Character was reset to six hours ago. Not only does it undo my progress, but because "Seamless Co-Op" As they loosely call it, means shared loot in worlds because for some reason they are against giving each player loot on the world map, but now those items are lost forever. For both of us. The host gave me some rings and armor for my build he achieved through story progression that we accomplished together. Yeah that's gone forever now. And if I wanted to get it back I would need to play in my own world from the very beginning and do 50+ hours of game play to recover six hours play time loot loss and level progression.

This is by far, the worst money I have ever invested in a game. And it's a damn shame they charge full game price for this half baked piece of ♥♥♥♥. This is hardly worth forty dollars -maybe- as a knock off indy Souls game. But for what they charged? And the performance, stability, and game play issues? They should be ashamed.

I'd rate this game a 3/10. They had ambition, and it looked good. But it's a failure, and they should be embarrassed for releasing this in the state it's in. It's not a difficult game because of creative enemies, intrinsic puzzles, and difficult boss design. It's difficult because the game is a clunky unstable mess, and their idea of challenge is spam five of the same enemy in one room in close quarters and let the FPS and lag kill you.

They never said it was "Seemless" like you're thinking. They meant it was uninterruptible co-op. The fact that people are still hung up on this blows my mind. they act like it breaks the game. It just requires you to actually beat it yourself instead of ride along with your level 200 Friend and beat it with no efforts just so you can feel good about "Beating a hard game".

On the contrary, I have not had a single issue that you've mentioned with disconnects or frame rate issues. Each patch has made performance better on my end. Are you playing on Wifi or something? Co-op from the very beginning on my PC has been amazingly good. No crashes or anything, co-op partner stayed connected. It was when I connected with others with bad internet connections - then I ran into issues. But my brother and I who have fairly decent PC rigs had no issues and he lives in another state.

Whining and complaining like this doesn't help. If you don't like the game, you can go back to easy mode Elden Ring with your "along for the ride" story mode seemless co-op mode.

Good on you bro. But know it's "Seamless." As I am typing now. Do not incorrectly phrase me like you're fixing something. And let me tell you, kissing ass doesn't exactly help the game either. I promise they won't give you better loot for it. Don't get mad because these people charge the same price as a fully functioning and correctly working game for their broken and dilapidated mess. It's works for you? Great. But I'm still going to point out the issues me and other people are having. The world doesn't revolve around you, and how well things work for you? Things work great? Good, shut up and enjoy it. Things working bad for me? I will point them out. And after their updates it only gets worse. So I am inclined to voice my displeasure of it. The reason I compare it to Elden Ring is they said specifically it had seamless co-op, and they are charging the same price. I expect to get what I pay for and this was not.

I will not go back after I paid for something. And you've clearly never played co-op with the Seamless mod or you would know the mod boosts difficulty of enemies, as well as their health, while lowering your own damage output to balance the gameplay.

So save your try hard sweat fest "hur hur get good or go back to baby town" ♥♥♥♥ for someone who cares. I enjoy a challenge. And I enjoy playing with friends. You clearly lack the later.

...hes not wrong though.... just because some random elden ring mod used the word 'seemless' doesnt mean that is now the definition of the word....

how about instead of insulting and acting pretentious, we use a bit of crictical thinking and SUGGEST to the devs your point of view, instead whinging on....

i hope you have alovely night friend. remember....its just a game...and its not tailored to you... devs have a story to tell, a game they created, its not about you, youre just bought a ticket to go along for a ride....and you can chose to get off at any stop...=

Ah good, I'll take my next stop off with a refund. I wanted to like this game. And I have voiced my issues in the line above. And in other discussions I have shared my problems quite civilly and critically. My point is not "This should be like the mod." My point is. If something modders and players can make can run so smoothly, why does this game struggle so poorly with it?

I don't take kindly to "My game works perfect, get good or go back to easy game lul" Comments. The fact that one person's game works okay is good, I am glad they get to enjoy it. But it does not improve the situation for others, or fix issues with the game.
I will say that he is wrong. On base co-op, this is a clunky mess. And it's clearly not "just about me, or tailored to me." Anyone can check the reviews and see this game has some deep flaws and major issues, and to disregard that as "It's a player's problem." Is ignorant.

You call it whining? I call it critical, blunt, and honest. The fact that other people dislike it does not change that. If the game worked as it was intended to? Fine, no problems, I'll happily take on any challenge it can throw. But when I say it's not working, the save files delete themselves, and much achieved progress is backtracked. As well as a decline in fps, missing hit boxes, and unplayable lag, it's unstable, and it's near unplayable since there is difficulty saving achieved progress.

For anyone saying "Go back to Elden Ring if you like Co-Op." I would say Go back to Dark Souls if you like single player. This game was advertised for co-op but it's unstable and broken. I wanted to like this game, I tried to enjoy it. But currently it's the performance of the game that is ruining it. And my PC meets the specs of the game before we start on that. I compare it Elden Ring for quality and performance. Not to say this game needs to be like Elden Ring. But rather. It needs a more stable multiplayer. Fixes need to be made.

I would enjoy to take part in the story they created, it's not about me no. But the story, ride, or metaphor you are using. Well... the ride would be more fun if it was riding smoothly and wasn't smashing into a wall or running over pedestrians throughout the game play.

you must be an expert at spinning. go back read my comment. i said hes not wrong about your definition of 'seemless'. as to the rest of your drivel, yea... game just launched, they shoulda done a beta test, devs have stated this... also, have you noticed how there is an update just about every other day? that means devs didnt just grab money and run. they are actively working on it. no one is forcing you to play this game right now. if it is upsetting you this much, evaluate yourself, perhaps put the game down and come back later. best thing about this ride is you can get off and get back on at any time.

And I would say he is wrong. There is no spinning there. It is a disagreement. But all good man. I know some people enjoy something so much, they tend to ignore any complaints and white-knight for a game no matter what. Denoting my issues with the game as drivel doesn't do much except reflect unwillingness to accept problems within the game.

I believe if anyone needs to evaluate themselves it's the armchair therapist on steam.
And as I've said in previous discussions. I hope that they fix these issues. But lately it has been a steady decline like fixing one issue and two more break.

I get bugs need to be worked out, but this is almost (Not as bad though) As Cyber Punk opening launch. At least for co-op experience me and other players have had.

I've noticed the updates every day. Check my post you will see I mention they have updates where they fixed the lag and co-op instability that the last update had broken. The issue now is save files are not working properly.

Now hopefully they will get this resolved. In the meantime I encourage anyone with issues about the game to share them so hopefully it draws attention and they are fixed, and not let the avid bias defenders of it to dishearten you. Have a nice night.
