Oooooh yeah....Personal recommendation, just get someone to rush you through the game. I've seen this happened to a few people and from that point on I manually backup the LOTF saves
Erase your local save file and hope to god Steam has the good version
To download your Saved Games from Steam Cloud, open https://store.steampowered.com/account/remotestorage in your browser and sign into your account. Search for the game you want, then download your saves.
C:\Users\?\AppData\Local\LOTF2 contains your save. The ? mark is your username or profile name for Windows. I'm not sure where it's being stored if you're not using Windows 11.

You won't get one. Steam is very stingy despite having good reasons once you crossed the 2 hour mark.
