Rune Amount

So...when I upgrade a weapon, it says there are two rune slots. I go ahead and upgrade, and I dont see any more rune slots. Wiki says the weapon unlocks its second rune slot at +4. My weapon is +6 and still only has 1 slot. It even says when I go to upgrade, it will get 2 slots, but I still only have 1 slot every single time I upgrade.

Is this a bug, or is something going on that I dont know about?

I have a shield that is a +4, upposed to have 2 runes. The next level says it will get 3, while it currently has 1. What am I missing, wtf

You need to give the smith all the Tablets.

Don't quote me on this but this may be so you can slot 2 different types of runes, but not at the same time? Eh, just throwing an idea to the wind, honestly was also confused about this.

I dont think so, the Wiki shows most, if not all gear, gets up to 3 sockets And most sockatble have different runes, Like Kukajin's Sword ends up with an Agi, Str, Agi socket. But again, I dont have access to the second rune slot yet, for some reason, despite the game showing me that I will.

Does like...each tablet unlock a new Rune socket capability? I only got the cracked tablet so far

I think that makes sense cause there's 3 tablets in the game and the max weap upgrade is 3 slots

It does, I guess. I just didnt think that might have been the case, since the game is showing me I get another rune slot when upgrading, but I dont have that rune slot when I finish

I've gotten all three tablets and still haven't gotten the third rune slot. Unless it's related to getting the weapon to +10, or whom you give the runes to. I gave two to Gerlinde and one to Sparky, as I'm doing two runs.

You should get access to the third rune slot after +9, thought it might be +10 as well. It doesnt matter who the rune tablet goes to, the only difference is an achievement, gerlinde's cost, and the ability to upgrade/socket at vestiges. Oh and whther you get the Crafter Essence.

Upgrade shows what it will have, but not what you can use, if you don't meet other requirements for it. Aka tablets in this case.
You can easily see that, if you check the pre upgraded version in the above window, it doesn't have any rune slots, while the upgrade has, and after upgrading in the above window it will remain nothing.
