Crimson Ritual Finger & Mirror of Protection - Multiplayer / PVP Components

From the streams and videos I watched on the preview of the game, they showed what the multiplayer systems will be like. It looks like you can join multiplayer at the bonfire with 4 options. 2 of them appears to be either joining a friends game or inviting your friend to your game. 1 of them appears to be the invasion mechanic. In the previews there was an item sold by a merchant for a Crimson Ritual, it looks like what you need to initiate an invasion in this multiplayer menu. On another merchant there is an item called a Mirror of Protection which has a description that it temporarily protects players from the Crimson Ritual, this looks like it something that prevents invasion.

In the multiplayer setting, you have the option of going online or offline like Darksouls for people who don't want to deal with invasion or any multiplayer.

Multiplayer servers are said not to be turned on til the release so I'm going making assumptions based on what we've seen so far from preview of the game the streamers and content creators got.
