how does pick ups in Co op work??
ive heard if a weapon drops or armor pice.. only ONE of you can pick it up..
sounds kinda dull if you find a really Secret area with only 1 weapon and its either you or him that goes out from the room empty handed.

oh so you should not be able to pick up health potions?
you should be able to play the entire game together with youre friend while he gets better gear but YOU shall not be able to pick up a single weapon or armor pice to make you cope with the further growing difficulty? XD funny guy.

Iknow you can pick up stuff..
and iknow you have to share it.. it wont drop for both:
what i was wondering in this thread is if anyone oknow about rare/special weapons.. if those also is just a " for one of you ".. or if you can take one each.

If this were the case it would be more like Elden Ring with Co op. They've been pretty clear about how its a feature to have a friend play with you through the game. Although content progress will only happen on the host game.

wrong, devs stated several times that you can play through the entire game with a friend. BUT yes, you are right when it comes to the AI that you can summon for help. if you dont have a friend to play with. Now what i ment was that the devs stated if a enemy drop a pice of gear.. only ONE of you or youre friend can pick it up, not both.

My question is if anyone knows about the hidden rares that is not "Random drops".. if that is the same for them. or both get those.

i think he ment the AI.. cause you can use AI companions like that.

i ment Co op, wich is the entire game..

You can bring your co op buddy through the entire game problem is if you die and he hasn't gotten to that area youll have to go all the way back from what i understand because it does not complete their side of the game. Therefore no matter how far you get on one side it will not go that far on the other.

dont think this is a game where you should run away from the other .
though there is always those kinds of people if you join randoms, im just going to play with people from my friendslist.

No you both have your own separate loot you pickup. No need to worry about it. But the second scenario you're describing is not a drop and just placed loot which only the host can see.

When you join someone's game you both get most of the loot. The only thing you don't get are chest loot and boss remembrances (these allow you to purchase unique boss gear at the hub). You do get non-remembrance boss loot from lesser bosses, including some weapons.

Dying doesn't mean anything, you just respawn with the player when they die or rest at a vestige, or they can revive you.

Game progress does not carry over, that only happens in the host world. Things like opening shortcuts and defeating bosses will need to be completed in your own world.

You can just take turns hosting to progress together... it does mean replaying the same areas again but it should go faster the 2nd time around and you might discover things you missed the first time.

World items are host only, enemy, and boss drops are both, unless said drop is a key, or quest item.

Edit: Also when it comes to enemies that drop keys. Of the host doesnt deal the killing blow, the key is not received.
