when you price your game at a AAA price tag then people will compare it with AAA games regardless of what it is.
All new games are $60 these days regardless of quality.
Dev obviously couldn't find a person with music degree for their sound department.
Bro the sounds picked themselves are bad, it's not a matter of "Im watching compressed videos on youtube/twitter" the SFX are genuinely badly made and dont fit the actions. Look up the backstab and tell me it's not the most unsatisfying sound you've ever heard for a backstab.

The sound of the striking weapons must be adequate and turn up the general volume to the point of shattering eardrums. This is advice that should apply to every video game. I do not understand why only 'From Software' manages to create video games with adequate sound effects. I have played myriad video games where the music was pumped up and the sound effects were pathetic. I hope this is not the case with Lord of The Fallen.
I really hope the devs will pump the sound to the max and also make a good sound design. I want to hear the volume of blows and bludgeoning and they must be different according to the weapon type, different and loud of course. This applies also for spells. Don't underestimate spells volume guys. (Honestly I didn't like at all the sound of fireball in the videogameplay I have seen so far). This game risks to be really disappointing in grahics, animations, sound design and fighting system, according to what I have seen so far in the web.
