That doesn't even make sense, if I was a sheep I would follow the streamers and play the game rather than making my own judgement based off what I've seen.....
If you think the game looks fine then all power to you, hope you enjoy it. I'm just voicing my opinions after watching streamers like Elajjaz and Moxsy.
They've been given early access to show off a small part of the game.
Whatever helps you sleep at night
From what I've seen (about up to the hub area and slightly after that, 2'ish hours), the game looks very solid and I'm looking forward to playing it. The biggest flaws I've noticed is that the character faces, particularly eyes, look a bit doll like, there's one cutscene with a weird (maybe bugged?) visual effect, and occasionally you can see the game microstutter / drop frames for a brief moment or take a second to load in assets when you're entering a new big area or a cutscene.
I've also seen some gameplay from Elajjaz (I think Ela is still streaming 9 hours in lol), he played it with all settings on Ultra and DLSS on Quality in 2560 x 1440, and the game ran with no issues other than those microstutters / drops when entering new areas or cutscenes. Not sure what his specs are though other than 3090, so take it as you will.
EDIT:
O ye, also I guess I'd like to see an option to hide the damage numbers, they don't bother me too much, but they're a bit big and I can see why others dislike them
It's pretty clear to see on twitch streams and on youtube videos of the early access that the graphics have been downgraded, I'm not the only one saying this I've seen plenty of comments saying the exact same thing, as I've said above to another comment, if you're looking forward to the game then great, I hope you enjoy it, these are just points that I noticed and I'm just voicing my opinion on why I've decided to refund the game. I could honestly get past the very obvious visual downgrade but the sound affects for the weapons are horrendous and the floaty character movement is what I would expect in an early access game, not a fully released game with a price tag of 50 quid.
Still hard to tell if it looks good or not.
Hoping it's good, or at least as good as Lies of P is/was.
The game may very well be mediocre, but it doesn't matter. A lot of folks like this have become haters as a hobby. They'll complain about the slightest imperfection, robbing themselves of playing great games like BG3, because it's literally not Dragon Age: Origins. It's like they grew out of gaming a long time ago, but because of the modern era, they can't move on from it being their identity, so instead just hate everything for not being the games made twenty years ago.
That's some dangerous level of copium. The classic "it's an old build" is just like "day 1 patch will fix the game" kind of dellusion. They are playing the final build, they have the full game, that's why they have instruction to play only to a specific boss. This is the same version you will play the 13th.
From my part tho, I watch a bit Lirik and I find the game to match the expectation I had for the game, a decent AA game with good content so I'm gonna play it as well, knowing itsissues.
