I sincerely hope they just let us deactivate invasions.
I just don't like them and it would be better if people would only invade other people who also enjoy being invaded, rather than being forced to wait for a mod to disable invasions.
Players can be invaded, even when playing solo. As long as the player is online, an invasion can occur. There are two major ways to avoid invasions: Firstly, there’s a consumable item that can be purchased from a vendor, which temporarily wards off any invasions. Secondly, there’s always the option of disabling multiplayer from the in-game menu!
Sounds to me like you can turn it off in coop
1- There are invasions in the game
2- There is No Off Button, there is however a farmable item to temporary opt out of invasions
3- Invasions are only in specific areas.
4- Summon's are limited to one person, whom you can resurrect.
Just don't opt into them and you're fine then!
From devs FAQ:
"Players can be invaded, even when playing solo. As long as the player is online, an invasion can occur."
Some players want to play coop without being forced into invasion. It might not be important to you, but it is important for some players.
The final decision is up to the devs of course, it's their game and I totally agree that they get to decide how it is supposed to be played.
Dunno why you split this post, but at least you're the reasonable sort that acknowledges this and not the usual supremely entitled whiner that come to souls forums. It's the devs project, people dont have to like their choices, which is fair, but they also arent entitled to their preferences in someone elses product.
