OPTIMIZE YOUR GAME
I'm running an RTX 4090 playing this game at 1440p and it is still dropping down to 45fps in certain areas. There's absolutely no excuse for this. I've got 64GB of RAM, game installed on M.2 drive and it still runs like hot garbage half the time. Whenever I join my friends game the fps gets cut in half and the game lags. Before you say my internet sucks, I have 500MBPS up and down on a fiber connection.

Which CPU?

I play on 4080@7700x, 1440p (native) UltraSetting and fps never ever drops below 60fps.

So your 4090 should be capable to handle this game very well IF not your CPU bottlenecked you.

Dropping down to 45fps with a RTX 4090 is laughable

R9 5900x 12 cores 24 threads. Should be PLENTY to run any game out there. I'm not going to upgrade to a new mobo and CPU for one unpotimized game.

Jepp right, but something went wrong in your case. Drivers up to date? Windows up to date? C++ redist up to date? Mainbord up to date? Bios up to date?


btw:

Hardware requirements of the game are pretty crazy—similar to all other UE5 titles.

Yes everything is up to date. It's just this game sucks. I play any other demanding game that uses unreal Engine 5 and I get really highs fps, over 100fps. This game just does not run well and when I joining my friends game my fps gets cut in half because of the lag. BTW we always play games together and never have any lag issues.

You using DLSS or no? with DLSS quality 2k on my 3060ti same cpu at 5ghz 4000mhz ram at 1:1 I only see under 60fps in the skybridge hub area so far I'm on my 4rth cleanse. I do have the 2 ray trace settings on High though the rest on ultra.

no I don't use fake frames. My fps gets almost cut in half when I play online with my buddy. When I play solo it's much higher

Yes okay, Coop-play seems bugged for some.

But if the singleplayer runs how it should, then you system runs well.

So you have to wait for a patch.


On my side NO problems at all

4090 and a 5800x3D. Ran fine for me but I didn't do co op. Monitor is a Neo G9.

I am confined to a console now. So I do not really care, but then again this PC is intended for other uses.

i must say it seems to worse with the latest updates. before the games was smooth. now i have also low fps at some areas and if there are certain spell effects. just upgraded to RTX 4090 and i7-13700K. No Problems until one of the last patches. Even with the old rig (2080 super and forgetable cpu). i think they will optimize it with time.

It's UE5 friend ...

And most (new) games are designed for consoles. Take my advice or leave it.
