The original idea was, that you just have a seedling and the vestige at skyrest (maybe some other...)
Then you progress through the game, unlock shortcuts and plant the seedling, where you want to progress next. After a while, you have shortcuts unlocked to run through the game faster. With the seedling, you can rest, go to skyrest and upgrade the weapon, etc... and of course respawn after a death.
Good thing they added the option to just redo regular NG because this vestige disappearing thing is just unnecessary ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
Enjoy the padding. or maybe it's not padding, maybe it simulates being on a real adventure on your own two feet instead of magically warping around. Everybody knows humans love walking right? That's what we do every day. Why not increase the walking time making the game longer in the process? Everybody wins, I guess.
uff i believed flowerbed is gone and normal warps remain. that kinda all is gone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. with how often people die accidently its super ♥♥♥♥ to run all the way again. i would dont mind to need a seed to use for unlock the waypoints and to use them but permanent gone? crap xD
