Anyway to retrieve mini boss dropped key if inventory full?

I just killed the boss in the sewers close to the 3 grim reapers and the elevator, it dropped a key but my inventory was full D: is my save basically broken now? I cant lower the sewer levels without the key

Yep, pretty much gone. Unless you have an backup of your save file, your save is now broken. I lost some endgame quest beacuse of this, had to do all over again. Its an awful design, the items should return to the ground.

Yeah thats just stupid :/ was like 20 hours in on NG+1 for umbral ending FML

Just sell all triple or duplicate items. I know its not the right way but better then nothing.

This is correct.
Key items do not count toward the inventory capacity.

Thats weird because when I killed the mini boss, I saw the key icon on my screen but it said Inventory full, And its not in my inventory

Double check again, it's the Drainage Control Key.

Can they fix that please cause it just happened to me I'm so mad I hope it gets fixed in the next update 😑
